My desire is to love those who have been neglected, abused, and cast out.

My passions are strongly linked to Social Justice, specifically in the area of Human Trafficking.I also am passionate about helping people out of addictions. It is critical for someone suffering from addiction to have someone come along side them.

Public speaking
Since I am a Communication Studies major, I have mastered the skill of public speaking. I put my skill into practice every week while leading meetings for the Social Justice group on campus. It is fulfilling to speak to those whose passions align with mine, but I also enjoy the discussions and ideas suggested by other members of the group. I believe a key element to public speaking is the use of humor.
Health, nutrition, and a proper lifestyle has always been a strong interest of mine. I very much enjoy learning more about proper nutrition to give the body the most efficient energy. A healthy lifestyle benefits a person spiritually, mentally, and physically. I am very pleased when I am able to motivate and educate others in living a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle.
American Sign Language
I am far from fluent in this language, but after 3 semesters of schooling, I am able to communicate basic ideas. I enjoy interacting with the skills that I do have, and learn more and more each time I do.
Communications is important for every aspect of life. I have majored in this skill for 3.5 years, and will soon be graduating with a degree in Communication Studies. Though technology is a huge part of our world today, face-to-face communication will always be used.
I have grown up using a computer, so learning new computer programs has come naturally. I am very comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. I have been using a Mac for the past 4 years and used Windows previously, so I am comfortable navigating both systems. I am not at a professional level for video editing, but I thoroughly enjoy creating, editing, and learning to create videos.
I thrive on helping people in anyway I can. I currently tutor high school students in Compton, and I also lead weekly meetings in which my peers and I plan ways to combat Human Trafficking and advocate for its victims. Our focus is placed on at risk youth, incarcerated men and women, exploited girls, and girls in the sex industry.
Creativity is in my blood. I love painting, drawing, sewing, crafting, photo editing, and anything else where I can use the right side of my brain.
