Lead an outstanding team of product managers in the innovation, design, development and entire lifecycle of the company’s flagship mobile navigation apps for smartphones and tablets developed for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, USCC and international carriers in Europe, Canada, South America, China and India. The redesigns and feature improvements to these products resulted in a 3x, 30-point positive swing in consumer Net Promoter Score (NPS).

2007 - 2009

Vitria Technology, Inc.

Directed PM in completely revamping the UE and UI for Vitria’s flagship BPM and BEM product suite to create a unique, iPhone-like, Web 2.0 interface on the PC through which business users can intuitively model, manage, monitor and optimize their business processes without help from IT. With this product, Vitria earned the Intelligent Enterprise Editors' Choice Award for 2009 and was named a world leader in the Forrester Wave report on Integration-Centric Business Process Management Suites.

Directed a global team of Product Managers (Silicon Valley, London, Frankfurt, Bangalore) and drove product strategy for mobile wireless solutions for carriers (Cingular), media brands (CNN, MTV), sports brands (NBA, ESPN, UEFA), games publishers (EA, Real) and major retailers (CompUSA, Best Buy) delivering rich browsable and downloadable content to over 300 million mobile consumers around the world. Oversaw a fundamental shift in product direction and established new policies and procedures for the evaluation, approval and swift implementation of major initiatives for key customer segments.

Originally hired as Director of Marketing, promoted to VP of Product Management leading a star PM team while overseeing and driving the design, feature set, UI, and future roadmap of all products including the highly successful flagship EverNote note management software. EverNote Version 1.0 was shipped in June 2005, favorably reviewed and endorsed by dozens of key reviewers (including Walt Mossberg of the Wall Street Journal in August 2005) and downloaded by over 500,000 users by the end of that year.

Directed pricing, product roadmap, MRD, PRD (Product Requirements Document), collateral, website, PR, and an outstanding team of product managers to deliver the OneBridge Mobile Groupware, flagship product of an award-winning enterprise wireless application startup. (OneBridge became a key mobility product of Extended Systems, and is now integral to iAnywhere, a Sybase company.) Through speaking engagements, demos, and meetings with analysts and press, promoted ViaFone’s emergence as a top player in the wireless platform/mobile Enterprise application space.

1997 - 2000

Palm Inc.

Directed the design, development, manufacture, packaging, advertising and international marketing of the Palm V and Vx. Wrote and submitted over 40 patent applications relating to handheld computers. Received dozens of awards, including Design of the Decade Award for the Palm V. Accelerated release of the Palm Vx, resulting in a $96 million increase in revenue over previous sales projections. Worked with a world-class PR agency to put together road shows to meet with key editors and analysts over three years. Featured speaker at the annual IBM IT conference, Palm Developer Conference, Bluetooth Developer Conference, Computer Electronics Show (CES), and Comdex.

1994 - 1997

Multimedia Producer for GPS-linked Software

Etak, Inc., a subsidiary of Sony America

Managed all phases of software and multimedia production from original interface design through final shipment for Etak (now TeleAtlas). Highly successful in defining project scope, developing product definition and managing different teams to produce complex GPS navigation/location-based titles on time and under budget. Introduced imaginative new features for leading edge software. Also managed development of collateral material, end-user manual, packaging artwork, and sales & marketing approach. Developed the look-and-feel and overall design of the company website.
