Customer solution responsible – lead end-to-end solutions ownership role in Ericsson's customer-oriented engagements, encompassing both pre-sales and solution delivery engagement phases. Leads global ad-hoc teams of experts for given pre-sales and delivery projects - solution architects and subject matter experts.

Acts as lead end-to-end solution architect for complex solutions. Uses strong experience and detailed expertise in four domains: telecommunications, IS/IT architectures, software engineering and data science to develop innovative OSS propositions.


Five-year OSS-as-a-Service deal with Orange Communications Switzerland (Salt) worth 12 million CHF, including detailed architecture for a 3PP probe-based end-to-end service assurance solution worth 2.5 million CHF, which replaced 3 different complex legacy tools. Supported Ericsson's regional sourcing organisation to secure a win-win partnership agreement with third-party probe vendor. Complex end-to-end service assurance solution was successfully integrated in Salt mobile network infrastructure, delivered on time and on budget and recognised as a major improvement by the users.

Delivered a proof-of-concept for applications discovery and dependency mapping services to support Swisscom's migration of 1'500 enterprise business services and supporting applications to their new IT Cloud environment. PoC exceeded customer expectations and led to securing Ericsson's first-of-a-kind frame contract with Swisscom estimated to 8 million CHF over 5 -years.

Expert advice, based on understanding of the customer needs and on relevant data science disciplines knowledge – big data predictive analytics and machine learning algorithms, to Ericsson Expert Analytics product development organisation for developing a proof-of-concept for Swisscom IT event correlation solution, a stepping stone towards Swisscom strategic E2E IT and telco service uptime management initiative.

Led a number of pre-sales engagements, created sales opportunities and contributed to Ericsson being shortlisted in tenders throughout Western and Central Europe - Telecom Austria Group - Next Generation Service Management transformation, KPN Group Belgium/BASE - Network Design and Optimisation - process orchestration and automation, Polish nationwide operator Play/P4 - probe-based E2E Service Monitoring, Analysis and Troubleshooting solution.

Next generation mobile network planning process analysis, optimisation and design of a highly-complex network integration process phase.

Business requirements, functionality and technical solution scope for the Next Generation Network Planning (NGNP) program – an evolution from legacy network management system that consisted of more than 20 mostly in-house made tools, numerous standalone databases and legacy processes, to an integrated network planning and optimisation multi RAT, multi-vendor solution developed and provided by Comarch as a service to E-Plus’ regional planning centres in Germany and to E-Plus’ network operation managed services partners. 


Advised, initiated and designed a new, innovative and highly optimised Network Integration (Configuration Management) process, key phase in the e2e next-generation network planning and optimisation process as well as detailed supporting software architecture that would result in 10-fold efficiency network design and optimisation increase, including replacement of a dozen of legacy network management tools and standalone databases.

Secured buy-in from the C-level executives and regional directors. Influenced, advised and designed a component and data flow model for the the new Comarch software solution. Collaborated with vendor's lead architects in Krakow, Poland.

Orange Communications, Switzerland


Advised, initiated and defined strategic OSS Evolution program using TMN, eTOM and ITIL, TAM and SID frameworks.

Developed detailed functional, non-functional and architectural requirements as well as analysis models for a vendor-agnostic, multi-technology, multi-protocol RAN Resource Inventory Management solution, covering radio as well as transport network layers, following MTNM and its extension MTOSI recommendations as well as TMF-814 and 3GPP IRPs.

Planned and executed feasibility study for new RAN Resource Inventory Management solution and secured the approval of client’s technical and business committees and stakeholders.

Provided technical leadership in a two-round tender process for the new network resource inventory management solution. 6 world-leading OSS vendors participated in the RFx.

Developed TCO model and the corresponding 5-year cash flow cost estimate template used by tender participants for for quotation. Provided expert advice to client’s procurement in commercial discussions and negotiations.

Organised and led the discussion about the requirements for northbound EMS/NMS CM interfaces, corresponding business models and pricing with 6 EMS/NMS vendors of the equipment used in Orange radio access network both for implementation of MultiRAT (GSM, UMTS) radio network layer and multi-technology (MW, SDH, Ethernet, ATM, IP) transport network layer.


Inspired, defined, structured complex OSS transformation program worth 5 million CHF that had a lasting impact on customer’s growth and on its competitive edge in Swiss mobile services market, developed a business case resulting in profitable transformed business in 2-years timeframe and secured cross-functional C-level stakeholder agreement for its implementation.

Implementation Consultant

Alcatel-Lucent, Belgium


End-to-end Network Rollout and Network Operations for BASE (KPN Group Belgium) multivendor UTRAN co-sited with existing GERAN network in Belgium.

Used detailed knowledge of the radio access network technologies and network management processes to develop and deliver complex solution for assurance of inter-network element configuration management (CM) data consistency for the new KPN Group Belgium’s multi radio access technology network (2G & 3G) based on Ericsson and ZTE WCDMA equipment.


Designed and implemented network assurance solution, a key enabler for successful initial nation-wide 3G-network deployment. Fixed more than 1000 inconsistently defined live radio network cell adjacencies, mostly for handover of 3G to 2G voice connections.

The main functions of the solution was to identify differences between planned and live parameters by comparing planned vs. live configurations for more than 3000 new UMTS sites and approximately half-a-million neighbouring cell handover adjacencies, and to enable delta alignment between planned and live radio access network.

Recognised as an expert for radio access network architecture and design, as a specialist for Ericsson 3G and 2G wireless networks including Ericsson OSS solution architectures, and as an authority for developing and configuring OSS/BSS solutions for multi-technology network domains (radio domains: 3G – WCDMA / HSPA, 2G – TDMA / EDGE; transport domains: IP, MPLS, ATM, Frame Relay, Ethernet, SDH, PDH, Microwave, DWDM, Optical).


Lead Systems Engineer, Lead Systems Architect, Software Design Engineer

Long-term responsibility for strategic development of network and element management systems for Ericsson 3G WCDMA radio access network.

Short-term responsibility to provide guidance to project managers and teams for estimating and planning throughout all of the stages of development projects.

Acted as lead systems engineer - a technical development projects leader - since the inception of the development of RXI 820/840, first-of-a-kind Ericsson transport network infrastructure solution for both ATM/AAL2 switching and IPv4 routing.

Led the development of network management sub-systems of Ericsson WCDMA radio network controller (RNC) and Ericsson ATM and IP transport network switch and router RXI 820/840.

As an expert in software architectures and technologies for telecommunication network management systems, worked closely with strategic product managers to secure that customer needs and industry trends are considered and captured as product requirements.


Influenced, defined and agreed development of new innovative OSS solutions using detailed understanding of issues faced by operators, OSS subject matter expertise, established company-wide contacts with key people and stakeholders, and ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively. Secured tens of millions SEK (Swedish Crowns) of approved investments for development of new solutions year-after-year.
