·Designed, implemented and oversaw the daily monitoring of Navy Medicine’s worldwide infrastructure, using Ipswitch “What’s Up Gold”, HP SIM, Microsoft MOM.

·On virtualization team that has engineered Navy Medicine virtualization solution.

·Part of enterprise architecture team that is planning out Navy Medicines hardware refresh. Consists of planning upgrades, migration to consolidated Virtual datacenters, shared storage, and regional LAN infrastructure upgrades.

·Project lead on Navy Medicine DAR (Data at Rest) deployment which met DOD mandate of providing internal and external encryption to 50,000 enterprise devices.

·Responsible for supporting Navy Medicines enterprise datacenters; responsibilities include Directory services (Active Directory): domain controllers, Internal and external DNS, Replication, Tier III support for enterprise Administrators.

·On team responsible for engineering Lowe’s 2nd datacenter in San Antonio, TX to replace our current DR site in Sterling Forest, NY run by IBM.

·Lead engineer on team which migrated 22 TB’s of file share data from Netware to Microsoft 2003 clusters.

·Implemented Symantec Storage Exec on enterprise file servers to allow for storage management through reporting, quotas, and file blocking.

·Designed Windows 2003 file share clusters to provide 99.99% uptime for Tier1 file servers.

·Part of team that has designed, tested and implemented VMWare ESX infrastructure with 90 virtual servers so far and 150 production virtual servers by year end.

·Designed Remote Site Architecture that eliminated 30 servers in 30 remote sites saving $600,000 dollars in server hardware and tape backup hardware costs.

·Helped design, document and test Lowe’s Disaster Recovery solution, which replicates all data to NY.

·Implemented Symantec BV-Admin to delegate Active Directory rights and automate object creation, and enforce company naming standards.

·Part of team that converted Traditional Netware volumes measuring close to 10 TB to NSS volumes on 5 Netware servers.

·Responsible for designing and implementing Lowe’s first international business office in Canada using Microsoft 2003 clustering for file sharing, DHCP, and Printing, as well as, install the domain controller.

·Part of team that moved 600 servers from old datacenter in North Wilkesboro to new datacenter in Winston Salem in 10 weekends.

·Key Duties: Maintain all software updates, hardware updates, service packs for servers.In charge of Network Operating Systems: Windows 2003 Domain Controllers, clustered file servers, regional distribution center file servers.

·Designed and implemented Corning Cable Systems worldwide Active Directory with team of 5.

·Key member in the development of Corning Cable Systems Compaq/HP Server Smartstart Scripting Toolkit, which allows for server deployment anywhere in the world without travel.

·Researched and oversaw RIS (Remote Installation Services) environment; created all RIS and Unattended installs.

·Deployed Active Directory, 50 PC’s, 1 File Server, and 1 Domain Controller in Malaysia from Hickory, NC without travel.Environment setup 100% on Intellimirror.Environment installed using Compaq/HP Smartstart Scripting Toolkit, RIS server, Roaming Profiles, Offline files, Redirected folders, Published and Assigned Applications and replicated DFS.

·Primary engineer on the deployment of Microsoft SUS server to keep all PC’s and Servers up to date on security patches throughout global enterprise.

·Migrated NT 4 domains and Netware NDS environments to Active Directory.

·Consolidated and renamed multiple NT 4 domains into one NT 4 domain.

·Deployed Intel LanDesk to 600 nodes and used product to inventory all hardware and software, as well as, distribute software to PC’s.

·Responsible for Symantec Norton Corporate Antivirus deployment and administration worldwide.

·Entrusted with backup/disaster recovery of critical systems using Veritas.

·Point of contact for all client/server problems in the enterprise.Key duties: Maintain all software updates, hardware updates, service packs for PC’s and servers.Install network, RJ-45, fiber SC and ST connectors, as well as, token ring.In charge of Network Operating Systems: Netware 4.11 and 5.1, NT 4 and Windows 2000.In charge of Network security for NDS, NT 4 domains and Windows 2000 domains.

·Traveled to Germany, France, Italy, UK, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic to implement new technologies, i.e. NDS to AD migrations, NT 4 domain consolidations and deconsolidation.
