Minto Jain

Minto Jain earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa where he studied biochemistry. While earning his BSC, he distinguished himself academically, graduating summa cum laude in 1988. Following graduation, Minto Jain gained admission to Queens University Medical School in Kingston, Ontario where he earned his MD in 1992. After earning his medical degree, he undertook fellowships in general surgery and critical care at McMaster University.

Concurrent to his work as a fellow, Dr. Minto Jain also served on the general surgery locum staff at Timmins District Hospital as well as serving as trauma team leader at the Hamilton Health Corporation, and as a member of the attending staff at the North Bay General Hospital. He moved back to Kingston in 1999 to serve as an assistant professor of surgery at Queens University. From 2000 to 2006, Dr. Jain studied health professional education at the University of Illinois, Chicago, earning a masters in the subject.

In 2009, Mr. Jain left Queens and became a principal of Medical Imaging Centers, Inc., a Mississauga, Canada-based chain of imaging clinics. There he helped manage an expansion in the number of clinics, secured financing, and oversaw the day to day operations of the company. Additionally, he has worked as a real estate broker with the Kingsway Real Estate Brokerage since 2014.
