I’m an adventurous character, who is not afraid to try anything and enjoys a challenge. I am prepared to take on unconventional tasks, and I always ensure that I give it my all. I love interacting with other people, and work well in a team, though I like working independently too. I believe my lively personality adds a bit of a spark to any particular job, and makes me a fun and exciting person to work with.

Meeting new people and trying out new things - the less conventional, the better!
I chose to combine my love of writing with my passion for electronic music, demonstrating my skills through writing press releases, blog posts and magazine articles to name a few. I composed a number of news pieces, reviews and interviews for EDM website Data Transmission on a freelance basis.
In June 2016, I set up my own website, Festival-traveller, whereby I write articles on music festivals across the globe and review the ones I attend.
I am spent a year working at enpact, a Berlin-based NGO, which supports startup entrepreneurs in North, East and West Africa with funded mentoring programmes. As Community Manager for the MENA region, I was responsible for interacting with the company's existing community and promoting the 6-month startup mentoring programme in Egypt, Jordan and Tunisia, as well as travelling to these countries to interview participants and organise regular community events.
I worked as Overseas Manager for The Leap, a gap year company based in Marlborough, UK. My roles here included managing the social media pages, coordinating and delivering school fairs and talks and planning the Ecuador and Venezuela programs. This involved keeping in close contact with our overseas project hosts, writing itineraries and updating the website and Facebook group pages. I also wrote weekly travel blogs, which can be found here.
In January 2016, The Leap sent me to Asia, where I worked as a team leader for one of our groups of volunteers in remote parts of Borneo and The Philippines. This was a challenge, for not only was I to help the volunteers build a house, teach schoolchildren and participate in beach cleanups, but I had to be on duty 24/7 as their minder. However, it was an incredible opportunity and I learned a great deal about myself and what I'm capable of, and it taught me how to cope when I'm pushed to my absolute limits.
I worked for a year at BsAs4U, a travel company based in Buenos Aires that offers consumers and travel professionals a reliable source of tours, sightseeing and activities, as well as providing information on the best things to do in the most important cities in South America. My role was to provide regular interesting and engaging content for the company's websites and blogs.
I worked as a freelancer in experiential marketing for most of last year, embarking on a number of projects that demonstrated my versatility and capabilities in this area. I have represented brands such as Lucozade, Nike, Glaceau Vitamin Water and Financial Times, and worked at events such as the Virgin London Marathon and Mint Polo in the Park.
I worked as a Digital PR Junior at Cypher PR, who specialise in Dance Music, and whose clients include a selection of the world's leading independent record labels and artists. My role was to keep on top of the day-to-day running of two of their most important clients: Big Chill and Electric Brixton. I learned to develop different tones for both, and was able to deliver interesting and engaging content for their social media pages. I also worked on regular PR campaigns, and have composed interviews, written news pieces and reviews.
I worked as a Wings Cadet, sampling Red Bull Energy and Red Bull Cola to the people of Exeter and Oxford. Duties included interacting with considerable numbers of people and providing them with energy drinks and refreshment. I also had to carry out research for places where we could reach our monthly targets, as well as drive and take care of the Red Bull mini. During this period, I worked at the Red Bull Air Race in London, took part in various Cola blitzes all over the country and worked as part of a team to launch the energy drink in Paris.
I'm certainly a nomad at heart with a profound love of travelling - not just sticking to the tourist trail, but branching out and properly immersing myself in the culture of the countries I'm in. I'm always looking for more off-the-beaten track authentic experiences, which involve integrating with locals and visiting lesser known destinations. Below is a list of the countries I have travelled to / lived in:
Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bolivia, Borneo, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Fiji, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Philippines, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Swaziland, Thailand, Uruguay.
