Summary

Mike Kelly is a former Head Coach of Canadian Football League team the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. As offensive coordinator for half of the season, Mike Kelly used his extensive experience in football to guide the team. Prior to serving as the team’s coach in 2009, Kelly enjoyed a successful career as a collegiate athlete. He attended Muncie Northside High School, where he played football and set a record for passes attempted and completed in a single season. Kelly then attended Bluffton College, where he earned his undergraduate degree in physical education, health, and recreation. A standout college player, Kelly ranked third in career completions and fifth in career passing yardage. As the sixth player in Bluffton College history to pass for more than 1,000 yards, he was inducted into the Bluffton College Hall of Fame. He completed his Master’s degree in Education at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Mike Kelly’s professional career includes roles as a coach, educator, and administrator. Kelly served as an advanced professional scout for the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles. His other NFL roles include offensive assistant and quality control. He worked alongside Philadelphia Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid during the team’s two divisional championships. In the classroom, Kelly taught courses in leadership and coaching at Drexel University, where he earned the Make A Difference Award for his outstanding work as a mentor and teacher. Mike Kelly actively supports organizations and initiatives designed to eradicate diabetes and promote the well-being of children and underprivileged populations.
