Mike Elmore

An experienced engineer who holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and a master of science in engineering management from the University of Alabama, Mike Elmore served five and a half years as a civil engineer officer with the United States Air Force. After leaving the military in 2004, he entered the private sector, working for companies such as DL Withers Construction and Honeywell HTSI. Mike Elmore currently owns and operates Sun Mountain, serving this Walnut Creek, California-based, civil-infrastructure and energy-services provider as its principal, president, and chief executive officer.

When he isn’t working, Mike Elmore is a dedicated fitness enthusiast and stays in shape by regularly attending the gym and engaging in running, cycling, and other aerobic activities. He also plays a variety of team sports, including basketball and volleyball. As a spectator, Mr. Elmore enjoys following a wide range of college and professional sports teams.
