Mikateko Tiny Mudau is an African female, with a 12 years combined experience in customer service, 8 years’ experience within the Supply Chain planning, transportation, warehousing, Imports and 8 years’ experience in project management. My ability to think independently, strategically on sustainable and profitable continuous improvement projects to ensure that the world standard customer service is rendered without compromise to our clients is my competitive advantage. My leadership skills and capabilities attest to the fact that I am a dynamic team player, as a firm believer that combined knowledge, experience and diversified skills are catalyst to forward progressing, sustainable business growth and transformation of the organizations. I obtained a BTech Degree in Transportation Management from the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in 2011. Registered with UJ in 2012 for a Post Graduate Diploma in Compliance Management consisting of four modules, and have completed Money Laundering, Corporate Governance and still need to complete Compliance Management and Basic Interpretation of Theory to obtain the Post Graduate Diploma in Compliance Management. Embarked on an Executive Coaching programme from May 2013 to realize development and growth. I recently obtained Quantitative Management Technique in Logistics as a bridging course. This is a critical skill in supply chain and I am privileged to have acquired it.  I will be bringing with me an excellent customer service and Supply Chain operations experiences and knowledge gained over the past 12 years. I have been very instrumental on various continuous improvement projects which were beneficial to the business and the operation.

My key roles as a Primary planner were a day to day supply chain planning  and movement of frozen products from the point of production to the cold storage facilities across the country and a few SADC regions at the most cost effective and profitable model moreover at a best level of customer service. With the use of in-house planning and communication tools, Plato and Plan Forge, the plans were completed and communicated with all relevant stakeholders and team players to ensure adherence and an optimum utilisation of resources. Constantly engaged and initiated Continuous improvement projects within the department to ensure that our customers are serviced at a  best standard. Diagnosing the past failures and their causal factors, then initiated recommend and implemented the best plan to prevent a reoccurrence on the next period. My availability to attend and resolve customer queries 24hours, negotiating best rates with external long haul hauliers which will not compromise delivery standards were my additional responsibilities constantly adding measurable value within the operation. On an ad hoc basis data was diagnosed to measure performances on service level with our strategic partners, this afforded the operation an opportunity to improve trends for best customer service.  I was a line manager to 3 permanent and 3 contracted employees whose daily responsibilities ranged from facilitating the execution of a primary plan and ensuring that clients are kept up to date with the relevant information relating to their deliveries and the compilation and publishing of day to day end of shifts reports to all stakeholders.

As a Transport Shift Supervisor I was responsible for ensuring an efficient bulk delivery services to meet and satisfy client expectations, minimising costs and complying with HSSE requirement and BP practices and standards. Managing drivers, a team formed of different individuals with diversified experiences afforded me to be open minded with a room to learn more from my peers and those reporting to me. The Petro-chemical handling experience and knowledge became the best acquired in my career life.

My responsibilities within the Transport Planning function included a day to day management of 7 staff memembers who were responsible daily for the administration of Woolworths inbound suppliers and their outbound schedules. Daily Compiling of  Suppliers On Time Delivery and Turn Arounds Time  and reporting to relevant stakeholders to measure daily operational activities. A day to day planning of transoprted volumes and routing of vehicles to stores across the region. Analysing and comparing the budgeted kilometres and volumes to track adherence on agreed budgets moreover for tracking the operations planned vs actuals and the profitability. Further on planning, I would plan labour on all disciplines from receiving to despatch based on inbound and outbound volumes. Facilitating end to end customers service and engaging on continous improvement projects.

This was a one month project, I was recommended by a Director I  worked with voluntarily in 2005 while seeking opportunities gain experience in Public Relations. South Africa Hosted for the first time, the 18th World Petroleum Congress (18WPC) in 2005. Several Public Relations companies were sub contracted and Matemeku Investment  was amongst the subcontracted. Matemeku offered me a job as a Junior Project manager under the supervision of Jill Kronenberg ( Project Manager) to manage the communication process of  local and foreign Ministers, the World Commercial Important People(CIP's), SANC board members by ensuring that invitations and RSVP for all official meetings, luncheons, gala dinners and all  relevant presentations were communicated to their offices. Further to my responsilities was to ensure that   a comprehensive list is compiled with all dietary requirements and further communicated to the Senior Project Manager and all relevant stakeholder
