Academic Skills

  • I have good analytical skills and I am capable of abstract thinking, I have the ability to build up arguments from premises to conclusion, reason logically, uncover assumptions and distinguish subtle differences as a result of studying Analytic Philosophy.
  • I can use philosophical skills in analysing contemporary societal debates. I am able to identify philosophical issues in those debates and evaluate the standpoints taken.
  • As a result of the multitude of views about the world and the many types of thinking that I am exposed to, I have an open mind and I am ready to learn new things.
  • Philosophy requires writing a considerable amount of essays every year, therefore I am capable of prioritizing work, meeting deadlines, I am flexible, motivated and can work individually.
  • Because of the wide variety of courses available to me I am familiar with different disciplines such as theology and religious studies, classical languages (Latin), social and political sciences. As a result, I am open to interdisciplinary thinking.
  • I have an insight into the relationship between philosophical questions and general societal and cultural phenomena and scientific developments.
