Social Media Manager


I was hired by BeFlix, a digital imaging startup, to create and implement a social media strategy previous to the launch of their product (Falcon, an action camera). During this 3 month period, I:

Setup and developed Facebook and Instagram as main SM channels;

• Created original content, with product photos and videos;

• Implemented a paid strategy on Facebook, in order to achieve a better content delivery performance.

My passion for traveling met my growing relation with photography and the result is this Travel Photography project. In one year it helped me to:

• Enroll in a Travel Photography course by the New York Institute of Photography.

• Idealize, create, produce and curate all the content for the website and its social networks - Facebook (1k followers) and Instagram (9k followers).

• Have 3 online articles published in a major Portuguese newspaper and another printed out (4 pages, with photos), in one of the oldest and most recognized Portuguese travel publications.

• Being in the short list for a worldwide travel writing contest.

Since 2013, I have been working as a freelancer in content related tasks:

ENG-PT and PT-ENG translations, proofreading and localizations, among User Guides, Games, Software, Ads and Social Media Content, both to Portuguese and Brazilian market.

Back to the Start-up world, since I felt the need to be in a more disruptive environment and create a project from the scratch. At eCommerce Clouds, a B2B online platform founded in 2015, I was responsible for:

• Create and drive all the Social Media strategy, organic and paid, aligned with Marketing Department guidelines;
• Development of the main Social Networks for our business (Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter);
• Create and optimize Facebook and LinkedIn Ads;
• Content creation and community management for the 3 Social Networks listed above.

I was promoted to Social Media Team Leader for all the non-English-speaking countries. Main tasks:

• Design, implement and measure a Digital Marketing strategy plan, both for LightInTheBox and MiniInTheBox shops, for 16 languages;
• Work closely with other team members to create new content to all the platforms;
• Establish social media campaigns measurement and report methodology;
• Creation, monitoring and evaluation of a Key Opinion Leader Program, for product testing and review;
• Lead an Online Reputation Management team of 13 people, covering 6 languages and full monitoring of online presence for both online shops.

* I won the Innovation Award at company's annual Gala, for my Online Reputation Management project.

Direct coordination of a 5 people team;

Communication with all the candidates and representatives of the companies;

Coordination of financial (sales & purchases) and logistic (event and training venues);

Other Development Opportunities

Even when I was studying, I always tried to work as much as possible so I could grow, learn and earn some money. Some other cool jobs I had:

Mystery Shopper. Periodic quality evaluations to the catering industry, as a freelance;

- D2D Salesman, while finishing my master's degree. Door-to-Door sales for paid TV channels;

- Waiter in catering industry during concerts and music festivals.
