Summary

Outside of my faith and my family, athletics and activities get the rest of my time.  I relish the chance to work with others in continuing the outstanding performance of our athletics and activities programs in the Smithville School District.  Coordinating schedules, working with officials, and helping coaches manager the day to day operations of their programs is something I love to do.  I welcome the opportunity to discuss the position further to show you how my skills can help Smithville reach even greater heights in all areas.

Assistant Football Coach

Graceland University

Main responsibilities included assisting with recruitment and coaching of linebackers as well as film breakdown, and defensive game planning.

2001 - 2003

Assistant Wrestling Coach

Harrisonville High School

Main responsibilities included assisting with planning of practices as well as conditioning and managing the upper weight classes.  Other duties included managing our support and statisticians and video personnel.

Coached Tight Ends and Line Backers for three seasons.  Also responsible for Kickoff and Kickoff Return on Special Teams units.

Instruct defensive schemes to the defensive line.  Establish game plan for Kickoff and Kickoff Return teams as well as select wrestlers for individual spots on these teams.

Spring Activity Supervisor

Smithville High School

Provide supervision at Baseball and Track events both home and away.  Maintain order among fans and assist all teams, coaches, and trainers with necessary support.

Head Wrestling Coach

Smithville High School

Main Responsibilities as Head Wrestling Coach include managing the day to day operations for the wrestling team.  These duties include practice planning, equipment ordering, budget oversight, organization of travel arrangements, coordination of officials, directing of Smithville Invitational, supervision of lower level staff and support services, organization of Wrestling Booster Club, organization of staff at all levels, and oversee the Smithville Youth Wrestling Program.   I manage all travel accommodations and overnight stays as well.  I plan trips and workouts for our 3 overnight tournaments and work with teachers and staff to help ensure wrestlers keep up with all assignments while traveling.  

Other duties include the organization of all statisticians, managers, video personnel etc.  I oversee 5 assistant coaches with specific job descriptions delegated by me as well as our Warrior Wrestling Club management. Specific duties are based on assistant coaches' expertise and ability.  I also work with our Athletic Director in planning and supervising all home events and camps we host throughout the year.
