Currently I work as an independent contractor for the Fairfax Woman, Alexandria Woman and Southern Maryland Woman Magazine.  I am the Production Coordinator of all three sister publications.  I over see and manage the production process, working closely with writers, contributors, advertisers and designers.  I also assist in our sales department, seeking and contracting new customers as well as continuing a working relationship with current ones.

I recently had the opportunity to over see and lead one of our bi-monthly issues.  During this time I was in charge of all three publications.  Setting up photo shoots for all three covers, directly working with photographers and clients.  I also oversaw the entire layout and design process.  This opportunity allowed me to flourish in a leadership and managerial type role.

I have a strong work ethic, can work very well under short deadlines/pressure and have mastered problem solving. I am a Communication Studies-Mass Media major, fluent in various forms of news media, seeking a career in the field of newspaper design, graphic design, broadcasting, and journalism.  I believe my vast experience in the various platforms of media has made me a very marketable employee.  I look forward and am eager to apply what I've learned through hands on experience to my future career.
