Oasis Holding Investment Ltd.

Founding Executive, CEO of a property development company (Empire Holdings) and an investment company (Oasis Holding) that acquires, builds and develops large-scale projects.For one of the world’s richest Arabs, I started the venture that now has $300M under development, including a 5-star hotel, shopping mall, entertainment centres, residential buildings and office buildings.


CEO - Group Subsidiaries


CEO of a group of subsidiaries of a UK-based GSM global cellular phone services and handset distributor/retailer.Built new company from ground up, created new markets and expanded existing ones, introduced new services and products.Based in Baghdad, Iraq (outside the Green Zone), achieved profitability 6 months into the start-up, one year ahead of plan, achieved number one in market share among dozens of competitors in all handset sales and GSM products and services in less than one year.Based in Amman, Jordan, turned around a loss-making subsidiary into a profitable and sustainable stand-alone business.In three countries, I expanded distribution and retail outlets, optimized operations and logistics, structured financing and reporting, and launched new corporate brand.

·CEO, responsible for establishing, structuring and managing operations, accountable to partners and shareholders in managing their investments; full P&L responsibilities;

·Leading various businesses, organizing and motivating 200 employees, reaching $70M annually;

·Working with operators and manufacturers to select/develop products tailored to the local markets;

·Setting up and managing support operations, including finance, marketing, sales, logistics and customer service;

·Reporting of all audited financials to shareholders and executive members of the board.


Chief Commercial Officer

Orascom Telecom International

Founding Executive and Chief Commercial Officer of three successive GSM operators in the Orascom Group, namely in Egypt, Algeria and Tunisia.   Key leader in building these operations up to 2.5M subscribers and market leaders in each or their markets,  some exceeding 60% market share.

Formulated and led strategy and motivated the entire commercial operation (1,200 staff) as well as the supporting operations to reach all target KPIs, world-class product and customer services and exceptional brand leadership.

·Executive Officer reporting to the CEO; responsibilities extended to the BoD;

·Responsible for all revenues (reached $800M annually);

·Executive Committee member, advising/developing all aspects of corporate policies;

·Led all corporate business development opportunities, including new product strategy and VAS;

·Day-to-day operations of Marketing, Sales, Communications and Corporate Strategy/Planning;

·Managing all sales channels, own-branded shops, product/services, pricing, promotions, branding, advertising/PR/Sponsorship, logistics/warehousing/delivery, short/long-term business plans;

·Grew brand to number one nationally (competing against Vodafone).
