About Michael Vasaturo

Currently vice president and CFO of the marine port storage company New Haven Terminal, Inc. (NHT), Michael Vasaturo received a BS in accounting from St. John’s University. He began his career working in New York City for several years as an auditor for accounting firms such as Alexander Grant. While serving as a senior manager for Ernst & Young, Michael Vasaturo oversaw audits and reviews, handled budgeting assignments, and delivered presentations before the owners, management, and audit committees of client companies.

Upon leaving Ernst & Young, Mike Vasaturo joined NHT as a treasurer and controller. During this first term with the New Haven, Connecticut-headquartered company, he directed all financial functions and helped lead NHT’s emergence from bankruptcy. Remaining within the port services sector, he next oversaw terminal operations and financial management for five East Coast ports as a regional vice president for Logistec USA. He has also formerly served as a chairman of the Connecticut Maritime Coalition. In his current position with NHT, Michael Vasaturo supervises human resources and all financial matters, including banking relations.

Along with his professional pursuits, Mike Vasaturo has volunteered for events such as the Connecticut Special Olympics and the organ transplant fundraiser Donate Life Bowlathon. He also raises money each year for Children’s Miracle Network to benefit its affiliated children’s hospitals.
