Michael Todt has tried hundreds of family law matters in the course of his
24-year career and currently enjoys a thriving practice in St. Charles,
Missouri. Michael Todt presides as the senior attorney at the firm known today
as Todt, Ryan and McCulloch, which he co-founded in 2000. His practice there
mainly consists of complex divorces, contempt proceedings, motions to modify
family court judgments, and paternity actions. Michael Todt also commits
time to sharing his expertise with fellow lawyers and serving his community. He
has taught at a number of continuing legal education events, giving seminars
such as Mastering the Art of Taking and Defending Effective Depositions, Trying
a Dissolution Case, and Family Law Essentials: Divorce, Custody, and Finance.
Charitably minded, he frequently represents clients on a pro bono basis and
currently acts as a Board Member for the Guardian Angel Settlement Association.
Before focusing his career on family law, Michael Todt served as an
Assistant Special Public Defender for the City and County of St. Louis,
representing indigent clients charged with misdemeanor and felony crimes. In
that role, he litigated cases at both trial and appellate levels and argued
before the Missouri Court of Appeals, the state’s second-highest court.
Todt holds a Juris Doctor from St. Louis University School of Law, the
nation’s oldest institution of legal education west of the Mississippi River. A
married father of five, he most enjoys leisure activities involving his family.
He coaches his children’s baseball and football teams and often takes his
children on bicycling, hiking, and hunting excursions. He and his wife also take
