About Michael Marks Pittsburgh

Michael Marks is an alumnus of the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt). Attending Pitt’s School of Law from 1976 to 1979, he graduated and earned election by the faculty to the Order of Barristers honorary society. Following his graduation, Michael Marks founded Marks Elder Law, a law firm with offices in Pittsburgh and Monroeville, Pennsylvania. In 1992, he began studying toward an MBA at the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. Again, he distinguished himself academically and was elected by the faculty of business to Beta Gamma Sigma national academic honorary society.

Mr. Marks and his legal team guide individuals and families through the process of protecting each other as well as their assets. His primary responsibility is to listen to his clients and their families to fully understand the problem and determine the best solution possible. He also prepares documents such as wills,powers of attorney, deeds, trusts, benefits applications, and powers of attorney. Over the 37 years he has been in private practice, he has helped thousands of clients with a diverse set of needs.

Away from his legal work, he is a passionate supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was in the crowd in 1972 at the Steelers’ Immaculate Reception playoff win against the Raiders, though he missed seeing the actual shoestring catch. He still regularly attends Steelers games with his family.
