Obtained the rank of Master Corporal and qualified rank of Sergeant. Completed courses in Combat Leadership, Lesson Planning and Instruction, Heavy Equipment Operations, and various other Military Engineering courses. Coordinated and oversaw the activities of an 8-man field engineer section. Taught at the Canadian School of Military Engineering. This involved planning and conducting various forms of classroom and practical training. Experienced in the use/maintenance of surveying, communications, hydraulic, air, and other forms of equipment used by field engineers. Worked as a member of an Engineer Squadron which involved adequately carrying out instruction from superiors. Qualified demolitions instructor.
