Interest

Wrestling- I am very interested in the sport of wrestling. My two oldest boys wrestle and I love watching them wrestle at meets. I love to watch college wrestling on the Big Ten Network especially, university of Iowa. I also love Chicago sports. I go to many bears, blackhawks and bulls games every year. I am a chicago bulls season ticket holder and love taking my family and going to the games with my friends. I love coaching as well. I am a football coach at Immaculate Conception High School in Elmhurst, IL. I coach the Varsity line backer core and am the head strength and conditioning coach. I enjoy triathalons. I am used to compete alot more than I do now, but I love riding my road bike, running and swimming as well. I try and train 3 times a week to stay in shape and also get closer to competing again.

As Clinic Director of Olympia Chiropractic & Physical Therapy in Elmhurst, Illinois, chiropractor and lifelong athlete Michael Calcagno brings more than a decade of relevant experience to his work, along with an impeccable track record in his field. At the helm of the Elmhurst clinic since 2006, Dr. Calcagno treats patients with a variety of sports-related injuries, helping them stay healthy and perform to the best of their abilities. In addition to his work at Olympia Chiropractic, Michael Calcagno serves as Team Doctor for York Community High School’s cross-country and track teams, Assistant Coach and Strength Advisor for Immaculate Conception High School’s football program, and Director of Kickoff for Kids, a nonprofit that fosters education and fitness programs for children in the greater Elmhurst community.Aside from his work as a chiropractor, Dr. Calcagno has amassed a number of notable achievements as a rugby and football player. A former member of two Rugby Super League teams, Michael Calcagno played for the Chicago Lions and, most recently, the Chicago Griffins. An alumnus of Bowling Green State University, Dr. Calcagno lettered for two seasons as a linebacker for the NCAA Division I football team. Over the course of his tenure with the Bowling Green Falcons, Michael Calcagno held distinction as top tackler during his junior year, took his team to a victory at the 1991 California Bowl, and made a considerable impact on the leading Mid-American Conference program. Prior to Bowling Green, Dr. Calcagno played for the College of DuPage, where he was named to the NJCAA’s All-American Second Team. A graduate of Life University, Bowling Green State University, and the College of DuPage, Michael Calcagno earned his Doctor of Chiropractic, Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, and Associate’s degree from these respective schools.
