      As Group Head of Digital, Creative Services and Edge Labs I am helping IAG build digital eco-systems that put customers, partners and employee’s needs at the heart of everything we do.           As a result of the achievements I delivered as Head of Online at Telstra I was among the first group of people recruited to help start the company building the National Broadband Network (NBN Co).

          I built the overall strategy and development program of work, aligning delivery with commercial requirements & the technical strategy roadmap.  This required a strong development & technical focus coupled with a user centric frame of reference to manage a broad team of business analysts, project managers, developers, subject matter experts and user experience specialists. I brought an exceptional understanding of end to end processes & an ability to manage politics in an ever changing organisation to ensure the delivery of projects that have multiple stakeholders.

          • I created the business cases, strategies, and delivery framework for all web-enabled technologies, systems, and sites that led to a budget of more than $50 million under my management.  
          • I built a sustainable high performing product, technology and user experience team from 0 to 200+ within 18 months while delivering ahead of schedule and budget.
          • I owned projects from strategy to concept to delivery and day to day operations, including full P&L, requirements definition and drafting, vendor evaluation and analysis, project and delivery management, go-to-market planning and post implementation.
          • I was responsible for all internal software development for the organisation.

          Having built the APAC market for BlackBerry, I was recruited to Telstra to lead the Wireless and Device Innovation Team.  As a result of building a successful business case for a Mobile Portal, I was asked to create a new Online team focussing on building an online marketing and eCommerce capability for the Telstra Business unit.  The portal platform I developed became the standard platform for the rest of the organisation.  

          • I created the business cases, strategies, and delivery framework for online services that led to a budget of more than $25 million under my management.  
          • I built a geographically diverse team consisting of marketing, program and project management, engineering, and user experience design. 
          • I owned projects from concept to delivery and day to day operations, including requirements definition & drafting, vendor evaluation & analysis, project & delivery management, go-to-market planning and post implementation reviews as well as the online marketing strategy and implementation.
          • I was responsible for building one of the country's leading web portals (#1 as ranked by Hitwise 2008-2010)

          • I built and managed bCODE’s mobile ticketing business model including developing the business strategy, business plan, and all key relationships.
          • I recruited, trained and managed a staff of ~20 employees including Marketing, Project Management, Business Development, Technical Sales and Account Management.
          • I developed the marketing and product strategy while leading sales and partnership programs in order to secure manufacturing, distribution, and remote sales relationships.

          • I led all recruitment, training and development of sales and channels teams.
          • I created and instituted the channel model and overall go-to-market strategy for the INTERScepter Internet Resource Management software solution. 
          • I developed a distribution channel network covering Australia, Singapore and Malaysia.
          • I successfully structured and negotiatied a world-wide distribution, bundling, and marketing agreement with Avnet Inc. With over 2000 resellers in the U.S. and another 220 in Australia, this agreement allowed Avnet to pre-package INTERScepter with IBM servers and market the bundled solution to its vast reseller network on behalf of visionGATEWAY.

          Research in Motion (BlackBerry)

          Having successfully developed and launched several AOL digital services for BlackBerry devices I was recruited to RIM to lead worldwide development of wireless carrier relationships, technical partnerships and alliances, licensing, secondary channel development, and corporate development including international joint ventures.

          • I established the Asia Pacific headquarters including recruiting, training, and managing teams consisting of Integration, Technical Support, Marketing, Business Development, and Operations and Logistics. 
          • I developed global market strategies, formed the regional APAC operations, developed regional marketing strategies and business models, structured and closed carrier relationships and joint ventures.
          • I conceived, structured, negotiated and launched a successful joint venture with Hutchison Telecoms for the import, assembly and distribution of BlackBerry devices and services in China.  
          • I launched BlackBerry wireless devices and data services in 8 countries/territories including; Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, China, Brazil, Mexico and The Philippines.
          • I built the region from a base of zero to ~$200 million US in revenue in two years.

          America Online

          Having successfully launched TV onthe Web to deliver video over internet services, I was recruited to AOL to help lead business development of their newly formed AOLTV service. AOLTV quickly expanded to include AOL services on many different platforms and was renamed AOL Anywhere. 

          • I developed the initial business strategy and subsequent partnerships for the “AOL Anywhere” initiative.
          • I negotiated development agreements to build AOL applications for several mobile operating systems.
          • I created marketing and distribution agreements with major device manufacturers to promote and distribute AOL services on their devices.
          • I developed the business plan, secured funding and then Initiated the purchase of hardware and development agreements with a wireless device manufacturer to develop the “AOL Communicator” wireless email and instant messaging service .
          • I created a standardised hardware platform program with key manufacturing partners that allowed AOL to maximize component cost efficiencies and reduce the cost of devices to consumers.  I then negotiated marketing and distribution agreements with top tier brands to promote and sell AOL internet appliances.
          • I developed a relationship with the leading in-car service provider to include “AOL by Phone” as part of their service offering. I then negotiated relationships with leading providers of in-car hardware to build “AOL by Phone” access into the architecture of their offering to auto manufacturers.
          • I developed the business plan and secured funding for one of the first truly digital media services.  I created a strategy to build a media set-top box and/or include this functionality into AOLTV.  I negotiated a relationship to provide rights management for digital media in adherence to the Secure Digital Music Initiative (SDMI).
          • I negotiated a relationship with one of the top video game companies to build AOL functionality into video game consoles and wireless handheld game devices.  I created the service definition and monetization strategy for the “AOL Games” strategy.

          • I established a new business model and started new business units to create high-end transactional web-sites for leading financial institutions including Ameritrade, and Chase Corporation.
          • I identified key financial services companies as prospective partners and negotiated the terms of development agreements.

          I joined TV on the Web to lead the Marketing and Business Development groups for this early pioneer of Internet Protocol Television (IPTV).

          • I created the overall corporate business model and development strategy to deliver streaming video over the internet for business to business and distance learning applications.
          • I built the business development organisation by creating processes for recruiting, hiring and training business development professionals responsible for building out various channel partnerships.
          • I devised a business model for creating individual business to business internet television channels.
          • I created the concept of channel sponsorships and negotiated sponsorship agreements with large corporations looking for the ability to communicate to their customers and employees over the web.
