About Michael

Michael is an alumnus of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where he majored in newspaper and online journalism. He graduated in May 2012. Michael is working as a breaking news reporter at The Indianapolis Star, where he has been since June 2012. 

Two summers ago, Michael interned as a general assignment and cops reporter at The Peoria Journal Star in Peoria, Ill. During his junior year of college, he worked as an assistant news editor at The Daily Orange, the independent student newspaper of Syracuse, N.Y. He also edited and produced multimedia packages for The Newshouse during his time at Syracuse University. Michael grew up in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas, where he occasionally covers local news.
