Information Systems Project & Case Competition

Studied the potential effects that ERP simulations can have on a potential ERP system user skills and knowledge, and found the potential impact they may have while being used during an ERP implementation to facilitate training and reduce resistance to change. Represented Purdue University Northwest at an annual IS Project and Case Competition at Ball State University.

Schafer Pharmacy Case Study

At our Information Systems Competition at Ball State University, my team and I participated in a live case analysis in which we were provided a case to analyze and provide a solution for, then present it to a panel of judges, enhancing team work, public speaking, and analytical skills..

ERP Systems Implementation; Procurement

A project for my undergraduate research project in which I presented on Student Research Day. Studied how ERP systems have implemented procurement modules in organizations by reading various academic journals and books and by using ERP simulation tool as an innovative “learning-by- doing” approach to ERP concepts.

LaPorte Circuit Court, Juvenile Court Services

A project which involved improving a court service's database in Microsoft Access using various queries and SQL.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Intern

Van Drunen Farms & FutureCeuticals

•ERP Empathy Mapping Data - meet with plant managers to get clarity on all employee's roles and group each employee into functions within Deacom such as Accounting, Sales, etc.
•BOM/Formulas in Excel- work with ERP team to establish Excel format for Deacom import, build templates for each type of item, and use item templates to build BOMs.
•Location barcoding- work with QC and Plant management to get approved labels and mounts installed in all Plant Locations found in Deacom.
•Inventory Barcoding – update current labels to include barcodes, begin working through warehouse to update labels for slower turning inventory.
•Attend meetings with Deacom consultants and the ERP team to learn business processes.
•Collect product recipes and production routing information from all plants and get them into a format that we can import into Deacom.
•Work center barcoding- work with QC and Plant Management to get approved labels and mounts installed on all work centers found in Deacom, and install barcode labels on work centers and run various durability tests (washing, swabbing, scrubbing etc.) then report results.
•Assist in the Item Master Formula data entry.
•ERP Training registration/coordination – work with all teams across the organization to organize needed training and registration of their teams to receive the ERP training.


Administrative Assistant for Bakery and Distribution Center

Family Express Corporation

•Created spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel with various formulas that allowed me to analyze data, resulting in a decreased average order-processing time from 30 minutes to 15 minutes.
•Coordinated inventory and supply orders to ensure every product was in stock at our Distribution Center.
•Helped with the implementation of a Warehouse Management System by creating spreadsheets into a format that we can import into Warehouse Expert.
•Analyzed data and utilized computer programs to maintain inventory control reducing the total cost of products wasted at the end of each week.
•Constructed a 114-page, well-documented training guide detailing all step-by-step procedures for tasks within the Administrative Office expediting the training process for new hires.
•Billed numerous products we distributed to 67 convenience stores which helped our Accounting Department.
•Created employee schedules for our Bakery which consisted of 40 employees and 15 different positions.
•Researched vendors and reached out to Sales Representatives to acquire the best price quotes and quality of various products.
