In my current employment I work as an administrator for a mechanical building services company, My day to day duties include printing off important tender documents which can range from specifications to drawing layouts which are designed to show mechanical services for a particular building, once I have finished I would then move onto obtaining prices using the information I have printed off via email. I also have a responsibility of keeping our databases up to date, ordering equipment, designing and issuing operation and maintenance manuals and editing construction programmes for regular meetings. One of my duties also includes answering the phone frequently whether its answering incoming calls or chasing prices.
My job role within this small and up and coming company was making telephone calls in order to obtain interest in advertising. My main duty was to research potential company's online after I get the company's telephone number I would then call up for a brief chat and see if they would be interested in our services, If they are interested I would then email a pre-prepared template out which basically describes what services we can offer and how much it will cost.
Before getting involved in office work I had aspirations of being a chef, I worked in the Nags Head pub for the best part of four months. I learnt how to work as a team and also learnt how to be more organized and to communicate with others which is a skill that I have utilised in the office.
