Responsible for the integrated service delivery program (ISDP) community component strategy, activities design and implementation. I support the ISDP Chief of Party, technical team and county-implementing partners (CIPs) to integrate and implement in a consistent and systematic way a community mobilization approach based on national community mobilization strategy. This links community level interventions through the use of home health promoters (HHPs) and other community-based agents to primary health care facilities/services, while maintaining close consultations with ministry of health of south Sudan and the Save the Children international country office.

Providing technical oversight and management of communication and community mobilization in 10 project districts; took lead in formative research to inform the design of behavior change messages for the project and overall social and behavior change framework; built technical capacity of district health department, regional on social and behavior change communication for IRS to ensure sustainability of the project; identified and trained over 3000 community health workers to reach household members with health messages, make referral and distribute medicine to treat malaria in the communities; supported in monitoring and Evaluation; knowledge, financial and human resources management.

Provided professional support for Dental personnel development in health prevention, protection and promotion within the primary healthcare facilities in the internally displaced person’s (IDP) camps in northern Uganda. Under the direction of the Director of health services, the public health dental officer provided programmatic oversight, fiscal management, technical expertise, personal and supervision for the dental services within the primary healthcare sector. The public health dental officer collaborated and provided technical assistance and also supervised and provided direct patient care within the dental clinic. Public health dental officer served a leadership role within the dental section, and beyond, to provide guidance and clinical & technical expertise on relevant dental-related issues.
