Michael James Frank Ealey

User Researcher/ Market Insight

Outline

I have recently completed a Master of Arts degree in Politics and Sociology at the University of Aberdeen, graduating with a 1.1. Through my degree structure, I have gained in-depth experience in utilising IBM SPSS statistical software for quantitative research, as well as QSR NVivo software for qualitative projects. Through a consulting placement with a technology firm producing point-of-sale solutions in London, I acquired substantive insight into the running of an SaaS company, and soon took on responsibilities in user experience research, including survey design, guerilla testing and contextual inquiry and data analysis, as well as in product development, in which I consulted with the company's core team on the strategy for a new product line, working as well in prototyping the physical product proposition. After this, I was hired part-time to perform product benchmarking and market research at an expenses management startup while still at university.
