Client: Synergy Development Statistics: 24,000sf shell space expansion Position: Project Manager with LJB Inc. Description: The expansion for the Sugarcreek Health Center began construction while the original building was still being finished. The expansion (Phase II) consists of two symmetrical bookends with plans for two more expansion phases. My role on this design-build project included design, code analysis, managing a small team of draftsmen and engineers from schematic design through construction documents, and interaction with the client and their interior architect.
Client: Miller Valentine Group for McGregor College Statistics: 90,000sf $14,000,000 budget. Winner of Ohio Valley Chapter DBIA Merit Award Position: Project Coordinator with LJB Inc. Description: I became involved with the project as it moved out of schematic design. My responsibilities during the design development phase through construction administration directly resulted in keeping it on schedule. The timeline for completed design and construction was an aggressive 15 months. I aided in production of drawings, product research, code analysis, coordination between the consultants, owner, user, and designers, layout interior packages, construction administration with weekly visits to the site as well as participating in construction meetings and resolving discrepancies in the field.
Client: Miamisburg Mound Community Improvement Corporation Statistics: $400,000 exterior renovation Position: Project Manager with LJB Inc. Description: The exterior renovation included inserting several windows on the east elevation, two four story custom curtain walls, a new entrance, two large canopies, and two plazas. My role in the project included several site investigation visits with engineers and Miamisburg Mound staff, code analysis, product research, specifications, managing production staff during design development and construction document phases, coordinating with the client and consultants. I oversaw the bid process and was the primary contact for construction administration. Due to the buildings previous uses and unique construction, several issues needed to be resolved in the field during construction.
