Program design, market research, negotation, and fundraiser

Currently, working as a craft beer liaison for several festivals and events around the Chalreston, Sc area. At the 41 annual Scottish and Highland games, helped introduce social media (facebook, square, and online ticketing options). Established initial meetings with individuals from the Scottish Society, Lee Distributors, and a local radio station to represent Highland brewery at the games. From 1971-1988 the Scottish Society had broke even with this event. From 1988-2011 only several thousand dollars profit. This year record breaking profits at 28k.   Conducted market research in Austria to determine if the locals would embrace American craft beer. Meet with Conrad Siedl in Vienna, Austria to discuss Austrian willingness to embrace American craft beer. After discussions with American breweries who were interested in exporting to European countries, it was determined that Austrians were to loyal to Austrian beer brands and their perception of American beer was of the macro beer varieties.   Working with Lee Distributors, a Beer 4 boobs fundraiser was created. Lee Distributors coordinated with Ballast Point Brewery and all proceeds from the event were donated to the Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.   Employed as an Exercise Physiologist helped to create and establish several fitness programs. The Appalachian Trail was a fitness program where members would log their miles on a treadmill or bike and receive prizes along the way. Prizes were secured from local outdoor stores and massage therapists for the fitness program.   Created a scavenger hunt for a cause around the downtown area and established relationships with local businesses to donate gift certificates and prizes for the scavenger hunt. Reached out to several beer and wine distributors and they donated products for the cause. The Hollings Cancer Center received part of the proceeds from this event.
