Principal 3-5

Crestwood Intermediate

Procured over $8,000 in funding to create a mobile Maker Space in after school programs consisting of 3 D printer, drones, robots, iPad Pro/green screen technology, Makey Makey invention kits, circuitry pens and much more. Partnered with local engineer and programmer to incorporate circuitry in art.

Formed leadership teams within building to assist with stronger Math and ELA balanced framework in Tier One. 

Rolled out aimswebPlus as the universal screening tool to make data decisions in RTI process. Prioritized need for Math Recovery and LLI intervention  based on research. 

Established before school and summer reading program for students in grades K-4 alongside leadership team. 

District representative in ETR/IEP/504 meetings.

Serves on District Leadership Team to analyze district data and set goals to articulate to BLT/TBT.

Created placement cards with staff for balanced classes. 

Worked with liaison leadership team to provide in house professional development for Google, FIP "Formative Instructional Practices" and "Common Formative Assessment" 2.0.

Organized time for TBT meetings and common planning to strengthen collaboration, develop common assessments in EdCite and disaggregate data using the five step process.

As a team, implemented "Crestwood Cares for Others, School, Self" matrix, "Good News Call"  of day and school store. Experience giving interest inventories and developing behavior plans.

Experience with 3rd Grade Guarantee and RIMPS.

Works with outside agencies such as Children's Advantage, Mobile Dentist, Believe in Dreams to provide services and opportunities for students. 

Formed partnership with local business bringing in over $20,000 to purchase two mobile laptop carts.

Joined forces with local law enforcement to update safety plan/map and implement A.L.I.C.E. training.

Effectively communicates with parents through PTO meetings, Blackboard Connect , Facebook, Twitter, Remind 101 and Smore/Video Newsletters.

Rolled out new technologies to staff: AESOP, Public School Works, SignUp Genius, eTPES, EdCite, Twitter, LearnZillions, TodaysMeet, Khan Academy,  aimswebPlus, Vitality, Final Forms, Google for Education, eSchool Plus, Edpuzzle, Flipgrid and many other ed tech tools.

Provides cognitive coaching and mentoring to teachers and counselors using OTES and OSCES model. Experience with eTPES, SGM, SLO and Roster Verification.

Introduced staff to crowdfunding using  "Donor's Choose" to bring in additional mobile technology.

Restructured the master schedule to maximize TBT time and instructional time to provide additional support for students not reaching benchmarks in reading and math.

Revamped the master schedule to include flipped faculty meetings and after school meetings to provide more professional development time to strengthen core curriculum. 

Administered the school budget.

K-5 Technology Research and Integration Team

Aurora City Schools

Served as a liaison between the Technology Operations and Curriculum Department.

Coached teachers in grades K-5 on implementing Google Apps for Education and ed tech into curriculum. 

Planned district wide professional development on anything from data analysis to the power of new digital technologies.

Experience with tablet and mobile computing platform integration into the classroom.

Connected classrooms to the world: Skyping with Disney Team.

Designed student learning experiences using a multitude of tools like Blogger, Google Reader, Edmodo, Scratch and Skype: A Collaborative Learning Experience.

Co-facilitator of "TILDE Netcasts" and "The Connected Journey", virtual professional development experiences for K-12 faculty.

Served on Grading Committee to help roll out standards based report card in grades K-5.

Developed online summer experience for students in grades 3-5 to learn about programming using MIT Scratch.

Spearheaded Aurora Robotics Initiative K-8 and supervised parent coaches: First Lego League Team.

Trained grade level lead chairs to create assessments and review student data in Global Scholar and Achievement Series for targeted instruction.

Implemented Minecraft EDU to bring the Common Core and College Career Readiness Standards to life through well designed integrated units.

Created, implemented and formed community partnerships for L810 Studio in elementary building. Supervised students from grade levels 3-5 to successfully implement studio.

Appoquinimink School District 

Served as a liaison between Department of Education and other districts as well as district curriculum office and district staff.

Successfully secured an estimated $75,000 in grant monies used for new technology and science literature.

Supervised, trained and mentored district science lead teachers.

Developed formative and summative assessments for state science program.

Worked on the state of DE Benchmarking Committee.

Organized the delivery and pick up of science kits and live materials.
