After months of negotiation, I sold my business to Classified Ad Ventures (CAV), and agreed on a contract term to guide the business to the next level.

I am currently General Manager of the company, and after fulfilling my contract and getting the business integrated within Classified Adventures, I am looking at other options within the digital sector.

CAV is a leading provider of digital marketing products and services to the global real estate industry.

As General Manager, I work with portals, traditional media companies, franchise groups, real estate companies and leading real estate agents to help them get the most from their online advertising.

We provide our customers with a range of products and services including consulting, website design, build and hosting, search engine optimisation, search engine marketing, eMagazines and social media optimisation.

Our team has over 80 years of combined experience in online real estate advertising. Simon Baker, our CEO, was the former CEO and Managing Director of the REA Group.

Digiproperty Pty Ltd

In 2004, I founded Digiproperty Pty Ltd to focus on digital solutions for the real estate industry, and the business grew with many exciting technology projects. I identified a niche to supply digital services to this industry as digital marketing was non existent, and the need was evident.

Digiproperty has over 20 years of experience in providing "end to end" digital services to some of the world's leading property companies.

We design and deploy the latest technologies, and make sure that our all our clients achieve desired results such as increased database growth, improved customer enquiry, brand awareness and better client relationships.

Digiproperty has developed many successful projects all over the world for the property industry, including website development, banner advertising, mobile applications, eMagazines (invented by digiproperty), email campaigns and mini sites...designed to achieve real outcomes. 

Some of our clients include Ray White, Jones Lang Lasalle, Knight Frank International, Harcourts, LJ Hooker, Coldwell Banker, and domain to name a few.

My responsibilities included:

• Management of staff (upto 16 staff members)

• Customer relationships

• Digital strategy and planning

• Provide vision and company direction

• Responsible for P/L reporting

In recent times, I managed to sell my business to Classified Adventures (CAV), who is chaired by Simon Baker. (The ex CEO of and brokered a deal whereby I benefited from the sale, and also ongoing employment with the larger group.

Project Manager


I was employed by IBM as project manager to assist in the establishment of a video technologies pilot project for narrow and broad bandwidth delivery. I also assisted in the development of websites, interactive video CD products and kiosk services.

I enjoyed my time at IBM, and really found my passion in managing projects and people in emerging technologies. I learnt and respected the art of a flat level management environment, and achieved great outcomes in this field. Key projects centred around interactive video learning, and interactive entertainment.

My responsibilities included:

• Encoding video for server and online requirements

• Interaction with board members, and liaison with key stakeholders

• Managing teams of programmers and designers

• Interface design for interactive video solutions

• Managing Kiosk and Video Portal production

George Patterson Y & R

George Patterson Y & R is one of the largest advertising agencies in the world. My role was to manage clients and realize the best digital strategies to achieve their goals. I was the interactive director, and we offered many solutions such as websites, DVD’s, E-commerce, Database Management, CD-ROM, Online Advertising, Email Marketing, Content Management, Social Marketing, and more.

My responsibilities included:

Founder & CEO

Expressions Software

Expressions Computer Software was a cutting edge art studio that created a range of PostScript and TrueType fonts for the world market.

Expressions was one of the first company’s in the world to release 100 TrueType fonts, then we licensed the fonts to Microsoft, NEC, Apple, Harvey Norman and Coral Draw to name a few.

After setting up our distribution channel, the development of new complimentary products took place and were sold through the appropriate channels. More staff were employed, and I enjoyed managing technology staff.

My responsibilities included:

• PostScript and TrueType programming

• Implementing quality control and timeline control

• Organising bundling relationships with hardware manufacturers

• Managing and keeping staff happy, on time and delivering quality work 

Sold my company to Adobe, and they acquired all the font and clipart products that we created.

I have worked with Mark for over 7 years, and he was involved with the initial discussions regarding the eMagazine project.

Mark is the CEO of Ray White Commercial, and is an industry leader in the real estate industry.

James is the general manager of Independant Digital Media, and is also involved in the Hannen Group.

Greg has been involved with many digital projects, and has worked for Nielson Netratings, Yahoo7, Ninemsn and now OMD.

I have known Greg for a number of years, and we originally met when I was interactive director at GPY&R.

Selected Achievement Highlights

• Successfully brokered a deal to sell my business (Digiproperty) to the world's leading real estate software group Classified Adventures. (CAV) 

• Invented an eMagazine system for the Ray White group, and through careful planning and strategy, grew the subscription from a 0 base to over 1 million active readers.

• After competing with the top advertising agencies and digital groups, I won the Ray White group digital business, and entered into an ongoing contract.

• In my first digital venture over 20 years ago, I created fonts and clipart and brokered deal with companies such as Corel Draw, Apple, Adobe, Harvey Norman, Microsoft and many more. The company was very successful, and I eventually secured a deal with Adobe to acquire my business as part of my exit strategy.


With over twenty years commercial technology sales experience working with some of the world’s leading companies, I began my career, while part time studying for my Computer Science Degree, as a network engineer for an advertising agency in Melbourne.

While working within the advertising environment during this time, I identified the need for quality typefaces, and post employment, started a company that developed fonts. After initial success with advertising agencies, I then licensed the fonts to NEC, IBM/Lexmark, Microsoft, Apple and also Corel Draw to name a few.

I also setup distribution networks throughout Harvey Norman for retail, and became very proactive in selling to consumers via these outlets. The opportunities grew through my distribution channel, and I also added complimentary software in the following years such as interactive Video CD’s, DVD’s, and other technology related products.

After setting myself up well in the early years, I then spent the following years working with some of the largest companies on many exciting technology orientated projects. (Launched over 50 major websites.)

I have been privileged to work with IBM, Microsoft, Corel Systems, George Patterson Y&R, Publicis Mojo, Parmalet,, Jones Lang Lasalle, Ray White Group, Apple, and Telstra to name a few.

I found my true passion for managing talented people, and creating new and exciting technologies and services. I cannot believe how technology has become such a huge part of everyday life, and I am privileged to be able to work in such a great sector.
