The STU is a high security inpatient program designed for the treatment of individuals civilly committed under The New Jersey Sexually Violent Predator Act.

•Observed the needs of STU residents that appear to directly relate to their risk of sexual offending 

•Assisted clinical treatment staff members in co-facilitating process groups and psycho educational group    modules; Observed weekly TPRC (Treatment Progress Review Committee) meetings 

•Discussed how such issues as past childhood maltreatment, sexual abuse, drug and alcohol abuse, and anger  management problems might have played roles in offender’s criminal behavior
