As Greene Group’s Chief Storyteller, Meghan calls upon her 15 years as a journalist, marketer and fundraiser to curate and tell her client’s unique stories—which she believes is the key to every successful campaign.

Greene Group serves a wide array of cliental—from Michigan's most recognized health care providers to grassroots community initiatives and small businesses by providing public relations, social media, branding, marketing and fundraising services.

Strategy Development

  • Develop and manage the implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive communications and marketing plan across multiple DDP business units, as well as an effective vendor management strategy
  • Work closely with other DDP directors to track metrics and ROI across all DDP communication efforts and improve on strategies as needed
  • Demonstrate success through strong metrics, authentic audience engagement, and increased community and visitor involvement at DDP-led programs

Team Management

  • Effectively direct third party vendors and consultants (public relations, web, multimedia, printing, social etc.) in the execution of marketing and communication projects on time and within budget 
  • Lead a team responsible for promoting a unified brand across multiple channels and with multiple audiences

Branding + Positioning

  • Develop and implement a strong narrative that connects DDP to its role in downtown Detroit and effectively positions the organization locally and nationally
  • Serve as a spokesperson on behalf of DDP
  • Ensure accurate articulation of DDP’s desired image and position to internal and external constituencies

Budget Management

  • Draft a recommended communications and marketing budget annually and effectively manage the department to deliver results within the approved budget

Process + Procedure

  • Develop standard operating procedures to organize the work of the communications and team
  • Demonstrate success through strong metrics, authentic audience engagement, and increased community and visitor involvement at DDP-led programs

Relationship Building

  • Build and sustain relationships and cross-promote in collaboration with key partners, sponsors, Downtown businesses and public space stakeholders

Communication + Marketing

  • Developed effective communication and marketing strategies across print and digital channels to ensure target audiences were reached with messaging that maintained PFC brand standards
  • Curated and produced communication deliverables including executive leadership speeches, social media messaging, video campaignsinfographicscommunity outreach packets, annual reports and e-newsletters to inform, educate, fundraise and offer  engagement opportunities 


  • Directed and executed traditional media strategy to secure coverage of key PFC initiatives and campaigns
    • Maintained and nurtured strong relationships with local media; identified and pitched compelling story angles; wrote and disseminated press releases; prepped and advised executive director and staff ahead of interviews 

Social Media

  • Planned and implemented social media strategy by curating and publishing relevant, original and high-quality content that aligned to PFC's mission
    • Successfully directed "$30K in 30 days" crowdfunding campaign through strategic social marketing and fundraising event coordination
    • Built brand awareness and online reputation through paid and organic content; tracked and analyzed key metrics and shifted strategies accordingly to ensure maximum possible influence 

Special Events

  • Directed all aspects of special event strategic planning and executed as assigned by the executive director
    • Co-Chairperson of Pope Francis Center Inaugural Fundraising Dinner in April 2017 that sold out to an attendee list of nearly 500 and netted over $110,000
    • Identified, cultivated, and stewarded corporate, community and individual support to meet event fundraising goals; recruited, coordinated and managed event committee and volunteers to insure benchmarks were met

Integration Architect

  • Recruited to develop and present unique consumer marketing tactics to executive leadership at Fortune 100 companies
    • Deliverables ranged from power point presentations, infographics and documentaries to physical spaces like interactive museums
  • Managed several project team members to ensure quality standards, deadlines and budgets were met

  • One of eight Scripps journalists chosen nationwide to write, produce and report stories for The Now Detroit - an innovative daily news show
  • Responsible for technology coverage at major local events like the North American International Auto Show and Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix

  • Responsible for producing daily news content on site and mobile; strategically crafting social posts to increase SEO and site traffic and developing innovative social media content

Community Outreach

  • Detroit 2020 Committee Member; produced stories on community members working to make Detroit a better city to work, live and play

Rivière28 is a group of Detroit enthusiasts, on a mission to introduce and promote involvement with the Detroit riverfront. R28 is an arm of The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, a 501(c)(3).

Team Fox Fundraiser

Raised $17K in less than 60 days while training for the 2015 Detroit Free Press Marathon. Funds were raised through micro-donations solicited using strategic social media marketing and communication. Effort was in tribute to my mom, diagnosed with PD in 2012.
