About Me

Thanks for viewing my online portfolio! I'm a strategic communicator with an interest in politics, social media, and the latest headlines. I've worked at American University Washington College of Law since 2011. Here are some of my recent accomplishments as Assistant Director of Public Relations:

Media. I respond quickly to media queries, working with national and international news outlets such as C-SPAN, NBC, Hearst TV, and more. The law school was mentioned in the media nearly 8,000 times in 2013-14.

Social Media. As manager of the law school's five official social media accounts, I have worked to expand our online presence. Through creating and curating compelling content, our Twitter audience grew by 30% in 2013-14, Facebook by 200%, and LinkedIn by 50%.

Content Creation. I seek out story leads and author written content for web and print that support our communications goals. In 2013-14, I authored more than 30 feature stories that were read by more than 3,000 unique readers on the web.

Video. I have taken the management lead on multimedia projects, including working extensively with video. From selecting the interviewees to rolling out the final cut, I have been involved in every part of the process. A video series featuring careers of our Recent Graduates garnered more than 3,000 views last year.

Leadership. I serve as a resource for offices and programs regarding social media and digital content, recently delivering a social media presentation for more than 30 of my colleagues.
