I have a 3.72 GPA and am a HOPE scholar. I was the recipient of the Mabel and Haskell Boyter Choral Music Scholarship for the 2008-2009 school year. I have been an active member of the GSU Choral Department, singing in the University Singers and Women's Chorus. I am also a member of the GSU chapters of the American Choral Directors Association and the CMENC/Georgia Music Educators Association, having held officer positions in both chapters.

I am currently an undergraduate student at Georgia State University in Atlanta. I am pursuing a degree in music education and look forward to a career in choral and general music.I completed my part-time student teaching placement in a high school choral classroom. In January of 2011, I will begin the final semester of my student teaching in an elementary school music classroom.I have many years of experience in choral singing in many different forms, including school, church, and community choirs. I am currently singing with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus and as a staff singer at Peachtree Christian Church. I studied voice privately at Georgia State for four years, and I performed a 30-minute recital in October 2009.
