OPERATIONS (Sales, Profitability, Shift Management) - Manages initiatives focused on meeting/beating period/quarter/annual operating plans, including sales, profitability and management and employee turnover targets. - Effectively manages the shift and store in the Business Manager's absence using sound decision making abilities related to cash control, labor, product quality, and sales building techniques. - Possesses an intermediate understanding of profit and loss statements and can provide suggestions/solutions when needed. - Promotes Guest interactions and suggestive selling techniques via sampling in front of the store, on the sales floor and at the register on a daily basis. - Operates and maintains store against full field review standards. - Responds to Guest complaints to achieve satisfactory resolutions. - Manages and troubleshoots equipment repairs and related paperwork by following company standards for reporting maintenance problems. - Manages and troubleshoots equipment repairs and related paperwork by following company standards for reporting maintenance problems - Ensures product quality and monitors product quality by managing employee performance and providing specific feedback. - Performs timely and accurate inventory counts and related reports. - Opens and closes the store in accordance with opening/closing standards - Prepares accurate and timely weekly packages including Expense Breakdown Sheets and invoices. - Delivers accurate drawer counts, safe audits, petty cash and bank deposits. - Assists monitoring of weekly labor efficiently and ensures sign in/out record keeping is accurate.
