VP of Business Development & Government Relations
Develop strategic growth plans based upon sound, business-based analyses of market information and current and planned UDT capabilities.
Develop and manage the relationship between UDT and new or existing customers by cultivating relationships with key stakeholders throughout the market or customer community.
Establish third party teaming relationships to successfully capture opportunities, as well as leverage existing contracting vehicles and business relationships with other prime contractors.
Manage, train, mentor and lead a team of business development professionals.
Lead business development team in identifying opportunities for revenue growth in both the current year, as well as over the next 2-3 years and beyond.
Monitor compliance with BD processes and responsible for allocating and managing selling budgets.
Responsible and focused on developing sustainable new revenue and margin generated from the target sectors and will have discrete annual goals and objectives for revenue, bookings/backlog, margin, and opportunity funnel and pipeline.
Participate in professional/trade association activities and customer events such as Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Florida League of Cities and The Broward Alliance.
Oversee lobbying firms and contractors in behalf of UDT and monitor results and objectives as set by the Company's agenda.
Develop extensive expertise on particular legislative initiatives of interest to UDT's business growth and financial objectives.
Assist in promoting fundraising for UDT's Political Action Committee (PAC) internally and in making recommendations for political contributions to candidates.
Assist in analyzing local, state and federal legislative proposals, and in some instances regulatory proposals, and in preparing UDT's responses.
