Manager of microwave machining

  • Manage manufacturing operations including machining across sixty two machine centers cutting many different materials.

  • Other duties include oversee scheduling,preventative maintenance,toolcrib and inventory and machine programming.
2005 - 2006

Enginneering Technician

Responsible for hydromat machine layouts,tool design,peoplesoft routings and general ACAD drafting

  • Used ACAD to create part drawings and tool drawings
  • Created routings and BOM's in peoplesoft enviroment.
  • Affected a 25% increase in productivity by engineering a hydraulic solution to increase cycle time.
1999 - 2005

Hydromat/Acme Leadman

Responsible for the day to day operations including:

  • Scheduling thirteen hydromat rotary transfer machines and many Acme Gridley's on a 24x7 schedule.
  • Scheduling and assisting in preventative maintenance,machine and spindle rebuilds.
  • Worked directly with planning to insure part families ran together on machines reducing set-up times
  • Major achievements included building the hydromat Dept. with the express intent of eliminating the Acme Gridley machines.
1988 - 1994

Maintenance Technician I

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of pneumatic filling equipment, bottle cappers and many other manufacturing equipment types. Other titles held at revlon included leadman and machine operator.

Summary

Successful manager of a large cnc machine shop manufacturing connectors for the aerospace and defense industries. Achievements include:

  • Reducing backlog in 2006 from 4mm to 250k.
  • Replacing outdated equipment with new technologies including writing the AR's and justifing those expenditures through six sigma process.
  • Eliminated the use of Eighty acme gridleys by replacing with thirteen new technology rotary transfer machines greatly affecting headcount and floorspace while increasing output.
