A Corporate Development Manager at Sensata Technologies in Attleboro, Massachusetts, since 2006, Timothy McBride interfaces with senior management in developing acquisitions and corporate growth strategies. Mr. McBride has undertaken detailed analysis and due diligence of over 100 firms, completing multiple transactions. These deals involved companies representing several hundred million dollars in combined revenue. Timothy McBride also developed an internal China business unit from within Sensata Technologies’ larger Asia organization. His long-term strategy involved creating new relationships with multiple local OEM providers, while taking market, product, and personnel factors into consideration.
Timothy McBride earned his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, graduating magna cum laude and Sigma Gamma Tau. He subsequently completed a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Boston University, authoring his thesis on “The Large Deformation Behavior of Woven Fabric and Microstructural Evolution in Formed Textile Composites.”
Prior to joining Sensata Technologies, Mr. McBride worked with Texas Instruments, Inc., in Attleboro for nine years. As a Design Engineer with the firm’s technical staff, he led development work on a novel sensor technology program. He assisted in product platform development that achieved significant sales and boosted the firm’s total revenues. Promoted to Engineering Supervisor and Senior Member of Technical Staff, he built and led an engineering team on new product platform conception, development, and launch. Following launch, Mr. McBride successfully closed large-scale programs with U.S. and Japanese customers that drove annual profits. Prefiguring his work with Sensata Technologies, Timothy McBride also set up manufacturing infrastructure in China for Texas Instruments.
