Coral Gables Community Foundation

Skilled executive responsible for the overall leadership, management and growth of the Foundation. Primary representative for all Foundation public/community relations, communications, and business development activities.

Developed, implemented and monitored an annual budget and strategic plan; including fundraising, public and professional education programs, support services, leadership development, and member/volunteer recruitment.

Recruited, selected, trained and supervised Foundation staff; and, provided leadership, management and training for all staff and volunteers.

Created and implemented strategies to meet fundraising and sponsorship goals through special events, major gifts, and grants; cultivated and supervised relationships with major donors; and, conducted research to identify new major gift/donor prospects.

Developed and maintained excellent relationships with Board of Directors; cultivated opportunities to build and maintain a strong Board; worked closely with the Chairman of the Board to guide and motivate Board members; identified, recruited, and conducted orientation of new Foundation members/volunteers.

Provided leadership to assist Board of Directors and Members establish program goals and objectives; and coordinated implementation of all program activities and fundraising events.

Instrumental in establishing key Foundation programs, including CoralGables@Home, and Gables Home Page.

Direct liaison between the staff and Committee Members, who represented over 250 of the leading companies in South Florida.

Provided ongoing communications with Members to notify them of all meetings and programs, as well as any information regarding Committee events and activities. Key representative for Committee’s public/community relations and communications activities.

Daily direct communication with the President/Chairman, CEO, and Board of Directors, and served as the supervising liaison between them and the Members. Composed speaking notes, bullet points, and dossiers for OBC President/Chairman, CEO and Board of Directors.

Conducted special event planning, VIP hospitality, and coordinated all Membership-related programs, including monthly Board and General Member meetings, Board of Directors Annual Retreat, New President's Reception and Installation Dinner, and the President’s Festival Cocktail and Dinner Party. Facilitated and supervised all Member sub-committee activity.

Developed and wrote copy for production of the annual OBC Member Directory; maintained proper notes and minutes of all Membership meetings; updated and maintained the OBC Bylaws.

Administered all aspects of the Annual Board and New Member Election Processes; including the Orientation Program and Cocktail Reception for new OBC Members.

Created and implemented business development strategies and programs to meet sponsorship goals; including special events, new communications channels, and public relations activities.
