I pride myself in being a Chinese but even more importantly, I am proud of multicultural interactions I have had over my short life. I do not speak English as fluently as those born and brought up in the US but I do not see this as a disadvantage because I can speak another language, which is Mandarin. This is the language spoken in China, which is the world’s most populated country.Apart from that, I have also worked in Africa, although this was just for a short period. This sort of background allows me to be tolerant and sensitive to other people’s cultures and I expect this to boost my ability to interact with others in my life.
