as budgets of existing projects and prepared tender bids. Negotiated with
other service providers and sub-contractors of consortium’s terms and
conditions. Managed projects’ timetable in accordance with guidelines
obtained and agreed upon with contracting authorities; maintained fundraising

managing a team of 3 qualified accountants and 5 operations/settlement
officers. Responsible for the overall finance functions in the organization
including liaison with the Finance group and ensuring that standards,
policies and procedures for the whole operations in Poland are in line
with International Accounting Standards and HSBC Principles. Maintained
forecasts for business lines and products in accordance with the Group
standards. Involved in strategic planning as well as budget preparation
including those for funding and implementation of programs. Directed the
successful implementation of the MIS system in compliance with the Group’s reporting requirements as well as with local authorities such as Securities Commission, Stock Exchange and National Depository. Liaised closely with auditors for the statutory accounts preparation. Involved in the recruitment of key staff members including Operations Manager & Chief Accountant.

Polish agency of one of the biggest container carriers MAERSK LINE.
Reported to Head of Finance and was initially responsible for the sales
ledger & fixed assets register. Promoted to freight cashier position where
duties include receivables collection. Successfully implemented and
incorporated the fixed assets register within the ERP system. Identified
potential risks in receivables collection procedures and advised management
that lead to the improvement in the system. Significantly reduced bad
debts by collecting accounts receivables over 180 days by US$ 550K.
