Intern – Sports Editorial

The Philadelphia Inquirer
  • Work as a staff writer in the sports department of the city’s largest newspaper for three consecutive semesters.
  • Wrote three to five stories per week.
  • Served as general assignment writer for all sports. Served as primary writer for professional boxing, high school lacrosse and field hockey.
  • Covered all four of Philadelphia’s professional sports teams along with major area colleges.
  • Write on strict deadlines, demonstrating the ability to write creatively and thorough under any circumstance.
  • Supplement each article with my own pictures, video, blog posts and social media.
  • Find, research and write my own original feature ideas for stories that appear in the Sports section, including four stories that appeared on the front page of sports.
