Determined activities necessary in order to complete a business analysis effort, including the identification of stakeholders, selection of business analysis techniques, the process that will be used to streamline requirements, and how to assess the progress of the work. Lead requirements analysis, validation and verification for the department's Legal Services and Facilities Business Unit ensuring that stakeholder's actual underlying needs rather than their stated or superficial desires are understood. Documentation of the" as is" and" to be" financial and non-financial processes using standard process modelling tools and process improvement methodologies. Participate in requirements prioritization and solution risk analysis. Translate business requirements into appropriate technical specification. Facilitate requirements prioritization based on business value. Developed operational databases for business units to monitor ongoing maintenance schedules and costs, site specific electrical safety switches(RCD's) and equipment testing in accordance with the Australian Electrical Safety Standard. Review and/or prepare system documentation and specifications in accordance with methodology. Facilitate user acceptance testing(UAT) and draft UAT test plans, ensure test data available and draft test cases. Participate in testing and quality assurance process. Collaborate with developers and end-users to insure that system functionality meets client needs, test solutions, problem-solve issues, coordinate enhancements. Managed conflicts, issues and changes in order to ensure that stakeholders and the project team remain in agreement on the solution scope, how requirements are communicated to stakeholders, and how knowledge gained by the business analyst is maintained for future use. Assessed proposed solutions to determine which solution best fits the business need, identifying gaps and shortcomings in solutions, and determine necessary workarounds or changes to the solution. Described how to assess deployed solutions to see how well they met the original need to enable assessment of the performance and effectiveness of the solution. Led the review and subsequent restructuring of departmental Bureau reports. Provided recommendations to department-wide processes that improved reporting data quality, format and structure

Brisbane, Australia Internal Consultant/Project Officer Assisted the implementation of a new asset validation database system and served as the agency's internal and external direct point of contact with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Infoview and Queensland Shared Services(QSS). Managed requirements to meet expected business needs as and alignment with the scope and objectives of the change initiative. Decomposed captured requirements into more detailed requirements via analysis and development of basic and advanced analysis models such as business process models, workflows, USE CASE diagrams, decision maps and dialog maps. Ensured traceability of requirements and ensured that functional specifications traced to business, user and system requirements. Used established cooperative, productive working relationships across different business functional areas to resolve issues and keep project moving forward. Functioned as departmental contact and facilitator for the following: Queensland Government Insurance Fund. Facilitated multi-agency coordination for successful resolution of claims. Australia Project Officer, Facilities Management This project was my first experience dealing with BPMN and the insight into process improvements. This experience allowed myself to learn about BPMN and developed a desire to improve processes across various business facets. Led projects to increase operational and process efficiency in various business units. Utilised BPMN in identifying redundant and outdated processes. Partnered with internal departments to proactively identify improvement opportunities and most appropriate solutions. Evaluated alternatives and found solutions using a systematic, multi-step approach and subsequently developed and implemented new processes. Contributed to DERM's calculation and identification of the carbon footprint through development of a carbon inventory. Determined various business units' metrics later utilized in financial reports. These included charge apportionments, charge types as well as end of financial year accruals. Shared knowledge of accommodation-related items such as financial transactions, budgets and financial positions.
