A certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Mary Hladio draws upon an extensive background in training, organization, and business performance. She belongs to numerous professional organizations, including The Social Media Strategies for Business Group, TED, the Senior Executive Exchange, Public Relations Agency Owners Association, the Network of Organizational Change Managers, and ASTD. Currently, Mary Hladio serves as the President of the Ember Carriers Leadership Group, a company specializing in developing personal communication skills to increase the effectiveness of individuals and teams in the business world.Mary Hladio obtained a BA in Business Administration and Industrial Psychology from Western Illinois University and an MS in Computer Science and Information Technology from Northfield University. Later, she continued her education through several certification programs in a variety of business and consulting fields.When Mary Hladio launched her career in the business world, she joined Enterprise Systems, Inc., as a Technical Analyst and Team Leader. Since then she has held positions with a number of companies in the technical field, including Project Specialist and Technical Support Analyst for Silvon Software, Director and Senior Project Manager for Global Systems Solutions, Lead Consultant and Senior Business Analyst for Northern Trust Bank, and Principle Consultant and Senior Project Manager for Saba Software. More recently, she headed Hill-Rom, Inc., as the Director of Global Learning and Development. During her time with the health care equipment company, she supplied it with international strategic planning, restructured the training system, and improved employee communications.In addition to her executive experience, Mary Hladio has also acted as an adjunct professor, teaching courses such as Telecommunications, Project Management, Technology and Society, and other classes in relational skills.On the side, Mary Hladio enjoys reading, gourmet cooking, running marathons, and studying history and architecture. An avid traveler, she has visited England, Ireland, France, Germany, and the Netherlands.
