A resident of Natick, Massachusetts, Mary Brosmith currently serves as a merchandising representative for Lawrence Merchandising Services. Ms. Brosmith possesses anextensive background in the finance sector; she spent over 20 years handling insurance and retirement investments. From 1987 to 1998, Mary Brosmith worked for Massachusetts Financial Services Company (MFS) in Boston. She began as an investor communications representative of level I and II retirement plans. Responsible for advising brokers and shareholders of tax trends of retirement plans and other legalities and requirements, she trained new staff members and maintained regular correspondence with clients. A few years later, Mary Brosmith undertook the role of retirement plan marketing representative and contributed to the sale of MFS mutual funds and annuities. She participated in sales presentations and assisted with the development of technical information about Internal Revenue Code and legislations for retirement plans. Eventually, Mary Brosmith gained additional responsibilities and advanced to marketing manager, and and when she left the company in 1998, she had been overseeing department operations as the assistant vice president. Mary Brosmith gained further experience in developing and marketing 401(K) programs and products at Salomon Smith Barney. In 1999, she joined Guardian Life Insurance’s New York offices as a product manager. As product manager, Mary Brosmith analyzed the 401(K) Advantage product and managed a team of four other people, ensuring pricing and commissions were paid for the 401(K) Advantage product. After a short period, she operated as a pension marketing representative and undertook the responsibilities of training office personnel in 401 (k) issues, arranging enrollment meetings of 5 state territories, and developing presentation materials. Aside from her career, Mary Brosmith enjoys being physically active. She takes great pleasure in running and skiing. In her free time, she likes to read.
