Mary Kathryn Bishop has been teaching middle school at Fairhope Middle School for the past five years. In addition to teaching 8th grade World History, she has also sponsored Builders Club, Cheerleading, and Yearbook. While Bishop has enjoyed her time at FMS, her true passion has always been in teaching high school. Bishop is in her fourth semester of graduate school at the University of South Alabama where she is striving to obtain her Master’s degree in Instructional Design. She has developed a great appreciation for the systematic, research-based approach to designing instruction provided by this field and hopes to be able to apply this approach to lesson planning. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from USA in 2004 and is Highly Qualified to teach Secondary Social Science.
