NYC Alliance Against Sexual Assault, NYC

MSW Campus Intern
  • Created and edited campus education & training materials including PowerPoint presentations, infographics, and resource guides.
  • Delivered training to NYC college campuses under New York State's "Enough is Enough" (EIE) legislation programming; affirmative consent, sexual violence education, healthy masculinity, intersectionality, inclusion.
  • Provided direct service to Alliance hotline; triaged requests for clinical services, provided additional resources for legal aid, education, and support services.
  • Managed content of the biweekly newsletter, Campus Corner.
  • Developed logic models to identify program goals, and desired outcomes to inform future content and maintain cohesive programming.
  • Created best practice review document for implementation of needs assessments for EIE program evaluations administered by campus providers.
  • Supported Technical Training & Assistance (TTA) and Campus programming; edited and modified program evaluations for campus-facing workshops to reflect logic models and short-term outcomes.
  • Collected and exported TTA evaluation survey data from 52 EIE providers; identified trends in program requests to inform the TTA and Department of Health (DOH) curriculum; collaborated on EIE grant executive summary.
  • Assisted in the coordination of regional meetings and training; provider meetings and a retaliatory behavior on-campus workshop with panels of experts in gendered violence, attended by 75+ attendees of EIE providers, campus, and program staff.
  • Supported effort to develop campus prevention and response toolkits for the Alliance and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); research best practices, Title IX, and Clery Act legislation.

Coalition for the Homeless, NYC

Social Services Intern, First Step Program
  • Managed a caseload of 10 individuals, meeting weekly to discuss the client's goals and progress through the program.
  • Facilitated group workshops to build soft skills such as; stress management, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving. 
  • Developed a set of group workshops to engage clients in discussions regarding identity and communication approaches.
  • Delivered weekly information sessions detailing the program's curriculum
  • Conducted intakes with potential clients, making assessments and writing up biopsychosocial evaluations; connected individuals to services outside of the program when needed.
  • Assisted leadership in recruiting and outreach efforts, often at shelters throughout the five boroughs.

Senior Finance Manager
  • Served as project manager for design and implementation of a new
    expense management system, streamlining office-wide accounting and
    administrative processes.
  • Managed PPFA Finance, Investment, and Audit Committee meetings, resolutions, and materials. Served as a liaison with board members,
    investment brokers, asset managers, and senior staff.
  • Member of a cross-divisional working group to revamp the national staff on-boarding process for over 500 employees. Evaluated and modified Federation-wide policies and procedures to increase efficiency of processes and transparency of department communications.
  • Managed PPFA's employee travel program, including the administration of
    Concur, maintenance of internal policies, staff communications, and
    employees' compliance with policies. Maintained relationships with
    eight travel vendors in order to ensure the ideal user experience for 500+ PPFA staff.
  • Led inter-departmental task force to vet, research, and implement
    adjustments and additions to financial and travel policies. Acted as the
    organization's point person for the policy management system.

Project Specialist
  • Provided logistical support for multidisciplinary meetings. Participated in the planning and on-site coordination of the National Medical Conference, attended by 71 affiliates from across the country.
  • Facilitated medical training that aim to enhance clinicians' medical knowledge, and improve the procedural quality of clinics.
  • Compiled data and prepared statistical reports for proposals and surveys for internal use by Medical Directors within the PPFA community.
  • Assisted in management of multiple ongoing projects ensuring adherence to budgetary and timetable guidelines.

  • Acted as the representative of the internal PPFA IT department, handling all aspects of end-user communication and technical issue resolution for a staff of over 250, analyzing support statistics in order to improve response time and quality. 
  • Managed the employee IT onboarding process for all national staff.
  • Collaborated with the Director on the creation and implementation of department policies and projects.

Support Manager
  • Managed a team of eighteen employees at a tech start-up, which included support technicians and front desk staff. Oversaw a 400% increase in technical support staff in 2011 to keep up with the substantial overall company growth.
  • Recruited new employees, managed the technical support interview process, and oriented support staff.
