Maruska Albertazzi is an accomplished actress, author, and reporter currently living in Rome. From 2004 to 2009, she served as a reporter for E! Entertainment International. Responsible for covering some of the most important film premieres and festivals in Europe, Maruska Albertazzi had the opportunity to interview many leading figures in Hollywood, including Morgan Freeman, Woody Allen, Danny DeVito, Will Smith, Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt, and Kristen Stewart. Ms. Albertazzi has also interviewed numerous Italian celebrities, such as Monica Bellucci, Sophia Loren, Gabriele Muccino, Laura Chiatti, and Caterina Murino. Beyond her work with E! Entertainment, Maruska Albertazzi has achieved success as an actress. Her acting credits include roles in productions of Jean Genet’s Les Bonnes (The Maids) and Richard Strauss’ Salome. Today, Maruska Albertazzi concentrates on writing. She is working to complete the screenplay for the next film by Carlo Verdone, entitled Posti in Piedi in Paradiso. In addition to screenplays, Ms. Albertazzi writes novels. Her first novel was published in 2005, and she is at work on her second. She had a short story published in the 2006 anthology Suicidi Falliti per Motivi Ridicoli (Suicides That Failed for Ridiculous Reasons), and she has contributed a column called “E! News Scope” to a popular Italian magazine. Native to Bologna, Italy, Maruska Albertazzi completed her Master’s in Communications from the University of Bologna in 2001. She went on to pursue training as an actor at the Actors Centre in London.
