Summary

Portland, Oregon, native Marty Kehoe consistently endeavors to make the city a better place for its inhabitants by donating his time and money to charitable efforts that focus on helping children, adults, and seniors in need. With 26 years of experience in different capacities in the real estate development and construction field, Marty Kehoe has completed more than $500 million worth of residential and commercial projects through MK Development LLC, a firm he founded in 1998. By changing his business model as the local real estate climate evolves, Mr. Kehoe and MK Development have successfully purchased, developed, and resold a wide range of single-family homes, commercial properties, and apartment complexes and buildings in Oregon, Washington, and California. In 2002, Marty Kehoe purchased Gearhart Golf Links in Oregon with a group of partners, and he presently serves as one of the course’s owners. Located 80 miles from Portland on the NorthOregonCoast, Gearhart Golf Links is the oldest course in the Northwest and perhaps in the Western United States. Ideal for weekend getaways, family reunions, and business gatherings, the public, 18-hole course co-owned by Mr. Kehoe features extensive services, including a pro shop, a full bar and restaurant, and rental equipment, such as golf clubs and power carts. By investing his own resources to establish a modest public park 5 years ago in Northwest Portland, Marty Kehoe and MK Development created Three Sisters, a recreational area he named after his daughters. A sign at the park’s entrance states “Welcome! This space is a private park, but people who are nice can come and visit anytime.” By setting aside the space in a condominium complex predevelopment, Mr. Kehoe created a lush park from an area that would have otherwise appeared as a vacant, fenced-in piece of land. Consequently, Mr. Kehoe has highlighted ThreeSistersPark as an example to encourage other Portland-area developers to devise similar initiatives. Outside of his professional life with MK Development, Marty Kehoe enjoys spending time with his family. He coaches his daughters in soccer and visits the family home on the Oregon coast. A basketball fan, Mr. Kehoe supports the Portland Trail Blazers. His musical tastes range from Frank Sinatra to Aerosmith, and he recently chaperoned his daughters to a Katy Perry concert.
