Worked in Group Finance Development (GFD) on the merger between National Westminster Bank (NatWest) and Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS). Specifically worked on the migration of the property and fixed assets from NatWest to RBS. This was considered to be two migrations but managed by one project manager. Primary responsibilities were the merger the assets of NatWest and RBS and to resolve all accounting issues associated with the merger plus performed the role of Coordinator for the migration process.Significant Achievements•   Successful migration of the assets in a shorter time period than given.

PI Consulting is the largest business unit within the Advisory Line of Service with revenues of $100M, profit of $30M and 300+ employees.As finance manager for PI Consulting my role was to business partner the Finance Operations with the Business Unit focusing on the financial management and health of PI Consulting.  The role required that I effectively interact with different levels of seniority not only within the Business Unit but also within the Advisory Line of Service and the Firm. My responsibilities covered all aspects of management reporting including Profit & Loss (including commentary and analysis), controllable cost review, WIP reviews, budgets to forecast, debtor management, accruals and provisions. Additionally I was responsible for the both the co-ordination and build of the annual PI Consulting budget as well as the monthly forecasts for the business unit.Directly responsible for 3 junior staff members but also provided support to the other members of the Advisory Finance Team.Significant Achievements•    Finance Manager for the PI Consulting business as it grew from $30M to $100M in revenue.•    Reduced controllable costs by $7.0M in 2008/2009•    Streamlined the management reporting for the PI Consulting leadership team.•    Managed the incorporation of a complex global business into PI Consulting.•    Lead finance role in the re-structured of the Advisory business•    Implemented and monitored budget rates across PI Consulting•    Developed a number of excel tools that assisted in the management of the business unit and its staff.  An example is the charge out rate to remuneration comparison tool.•    Managed the Advisory Line of Service Budget process.•    Part of the implementation team for a new financial reporting system at PwCI was also involved in a number of PwC and Advisory Wide initiatives:•    Participated with the Partners in developing both a High Performance Culture and High Performance Teams at PwC•    Key financial contact for the Global PI Consulting group in Australia.
