About Martin Hanaka

A graduate of Cornell University and former board member at numerous companies including Spors Authority, Golfsmith, Brighstar, Corporation , Staples and Wilmar Industries, Martin Hanaka has diverse professional executive expertise in areas including retail, consumer, Internet and web platforms, wireless communications, real estate and store planning and construction. In addition, he served as president, chief operating officer, and served on the board of Lechmere in Woburn, Massachusetts, where he began his tenure there as executive vice president in charge of merchandising and marketing. Presently, Marty E. Hanaka utilizes the aggregate of these, and his other executive experiences with Golfsmith, Guitar Center, and Sears, in his role as operating partner of the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based, Highland Consumer Fund, a growth oriented private equity firm with a specific focus on its retail portfolio.

Apart from fulfilling his professional responsibilities at Highland Consumer Fund, Marty Hanaka maintains interest in a number of hobbies and pastimes, including biking and international travel as well as raising his twin eight year old boys with his wife Nicole.
